Today I saw my husband, Dr. Essam Al-Haddad, in the court during his hearing and learned that since he was transferred to Leiman Hospital. He has been imprisoned in a solitary cell completely for 24 hours without any break, exercise time, or access to sunlight.
He was supposed to be transferred from his cell to the hospital to perform cardiac catheterization at an external hospital, which he has been in need of for a year and a half. However, on Tuesday (February 20th) he found himself at the “Leiman Hospital” in a solitary cell completely sealed off.
